Does Silent Student work at the University of Houston?
Partly — UH Canvas syncs, but three of the four courses we looked at run on platforms it has no solver for.
UH Canvas is reached through AccessUH with CougarNet single sign-on and a Microsoft Authenticator push, and native Canvas work is covered normally. The problem is what UH puts on top: College Algebra and Fundamentals of Chemistry run through CASA, UH's own in-house homework system, and BIOL 1361 uses Pearson Mastering. None of those is a dedicated solver. This is the weakest fit in this directory, and you should check your own schedule before paying for anything.

These are four of UH's largest first-year courses. UH is the weakest fit in this directory, because two of them run on CASA — UH's own in-house homework system — rather than a publisher platform, and a third uses Pearson Mastering.

Introduction to Biological Science
Pearson Mastering
UH's intro biological science course for majors has used Pearson's Campbell Biology in Focus with a Mastering Biology access code (per multiple BIOL 1361 syllabi). Mastering isn't a platform Silent Student has a dedicated solver for, so it opens the work from Canvas, handles it with its general visual agent, and holds written answers for your review. Courseware can change by section, so confirm yours.
UH's microeconomic principles course requires Cengage Aplia (built around Mankiw's Principles of Microeconomics) and launches it from Canvas; Silent Student opens Aplia and works the problem sets one item at a time, submitting inside Aplia — publisher courseware is not held for review. The companion ECON 2305 macroeconomics course typically uses the same Aplia setup, but confirm your section.
College Algebra runs its textbook, online quizzes, and homework on UH's own CASA Campus Services (ccs.casa.uh.edu), a homegrown system rather than a publisher platform, so there's no dedicated solver — Silent Student opens it from Canvas, works it with its general visual agent, and holds anything uncertain for your review.
Fundamentals of Chemistry uses the Cengage Zumdahl 'Chemistry: An Atoms First Approach' text, with homework and testing run through UH's CASA system (some sections have used Blackboard) rather than a publisher's online-homework platform, so Silent Student treats it with its general visual agent and your review rather than a dedicated solver.
University of Houston runs Canvas behind AccessUH and Microsoft MFA
UH's LMS is Canvas at uh.instructure.com, branded UH Canvas. You reach it through the AccessUH single sign-on portal at accessuh.uh.edu and click the Canvas icon, or go to uh.edu/canvas and click the Canvas icon. Canvas hands off via SAML to AccessUH and Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure AD), where you sign in with your CougarNet credentials — your CougarNetID@cougarnet.uh.edu and CougarNet password — and then approve a Microsoft Authenticator push (or a Duo prompt). This page covers the main UH campus only; UH-Downtown (uhd.instructure.com) and UH-Clear Lake (uhcl.instructure.com) are separate Canvas tenants.

CASA. College Algebra and Fundamentals of Chemistry run their homework and testing through UH's own CASA CourseWare — homegrown, not a publisher platform, so there is no dedicated solver. BIOL 1361 uses Pearson Mastering Biology, which is also not a dedicated solver. Of the four courses we looked at, only ECON 2304's Cengage Aplia comes close, and Aplia is not one of the named dedicated solvers either. UH Canvas itself syncs fine, and native Canvas quizzes, discussions and essays are covered.
You approve one Microsoft Authenticator push when the session starts (Duo Mobile is also supported if that's what you enrolled at uh.edu/2fa-portal). UH remembers trusted devices, so you rarely re-approve while Silent Student runs.
Native Canvas quizzes, essays, and discussions, plus Cengage Aplia for the ECON 2304/2305 economics principles courses. Other big gateway courses run on platforms without a dedicated solver — College Algebra (MATH 1314) and Fundamentals of Chemistry (CHEM 1331) on UH's homegrown CASA system, and the intro biology course on Pearson Mastering — so Silent Student works those with its general visual agent and holds uncertain or written answers for your review.
Yes. UH draws many transfers from Houston-area community colleges through the Texas Common Course Numbering System (TCCNS), and Silent Student also has a page for Houston Community College, which runs on Canvas (eagleonline.hccs.edu) — so your queue is covered before and after you transfer.
UH's Academic Honesty Policy is yours to follow. Given how much of UH runs on CASA, it is worth being precise about what stops for review: your Canvas essays, discussion posts and file uploads always become drafts for you to read, edit and approve, and are never submitted on their own whatever confidence the model reports. Quizzes work differently — on a graded, single-attempt, untimed Canvas quiz with time still on the clock, an answer below your confidence threshold (70% by default) stops the quiz for your review, while timed and multi-attempt quizzes submit on their own. External courseware is the one to know about: it has no draft step at all, so a Packback post publishes as it is written.
That depends entirely on your schedule, which is why we would rather you check before paying. If your semester is mostly native Canvas quizzes, discussions and essays, Silent Student covers it. If it is CASA-based math and chemistry, it falls back to the general visual agent and holds a lot for your review. Look at your own courses in Canvas first.
