Who writes the pages on this site?
El Dorado Ignition LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, writes and publishes every page on silentstudent.com. It is the company that makes and sells Silent Student, so this is a product website, and it is not an independent publication. Pages are published under the company’s name.
We don’t put invented authors, reviewers, experts, students or customers on our pages, and no page carries a made-up name or photo. If a page ever names a person, it will be a real person who agreed to be named.
We use AI tools to help research and draft pages. A draft goes live only after its facts about Silent Student match our published prices, Terms and product pages, and each fact about another company matches the source the page cites. The company decides what is published and is responsible for every page.
Where do the facts on these pages come from?
Each kind of fact has one place it may come from. If we can’t check a fact against that place, we leave it out.
| Kind of fact | Where it comes from | How it appears on a page |
|---|---|---|
| Silent Student prices and plans | Our pricing page and Terms | $11.99, $24.99 or $49.99 a month, with the date the prices were checked. No page offers a free plan, because there isn’t one. |
| What the app does and won’t do | How the app works today, as described on How it works and in the Terms | Limits sit next to the claim: on Canvas, essays, discussions and uploads wait for your approval; it doesn’t take proctored exams; it can get answers wrong. |
| Computers it runs on | Our download page | A Mac with Apple Silicon on macOS 13 or later, or Windows 10 or later (64-bit). No Chromebook, iPad or phone. |
| Accuracy | Our benchmark: seven homework replicas that we built | “156 of 164 graded answers (95%)”, always labeled as our own test on replicas, which are not the real sites. |
| Real-use results | Aggregate counts from our production records, with no names or other personal data | One figure, with its date range and what it counts: 97% of points on the 65 customer runs that got a grade back, September 30 to October 19, 2026. It is not an accuracy rate. |
| Homework platform rules and behavior | The platform’s own help center, terms of use or documentation | A short quote, a link to the page, and the date we read it. |
| Other tools | The tool’s own website, pricing page, store listing or code repository | Quotes and prices with a link and a date. The page says so when we did not run the tool ourselves. |
Platforms and their terms change. If what you see in your course differs from a page here, your course and the platform’s current pages are the ones that count, and we would like to hear about the difference.
How are pages dated?
Each page shows an “Updated” date near the top. It is the last day the page’s content changed and its facts were checked. Each entry in a page’s Sources list shows the day we read that source. We don’t move a date forward without checking the page again.
Some facts carry their own date, such as “Prices checked October 19, 2026”. That date can be older than the page’s Updated date when another part of the page changed and that fact did not.
How do the comparison pages work?
Every comparison page and every “best AI for” page carries a disclosure near the top that we make Silent Student, because we are not a neutral party. On the “best AI for” pages, the entry for our app is labeled “Our pick (we make it)”.
- We don’t publish rankings presented as independent.
- We publish no star ratings, reviews or testimonials of our own. If a page quotes a rating, it is the one shown on the tool’s own store listing, with a link.
- We describe other tools from their own pages. A page claims we tested a tool only when it says how we tested it.
- Links to other tools are plain links with no affiliate codes.
What won’t we publish?
- Claims that Silent Student can’t be detected, or that it gets past proctoring, lockdown browsers or AI detectors. It does none of those things, and it does not take proctored exams.
- Answer keys, test answers or tips for avoiding detection.
- Made-up numbers, reviews, ratings, user counts or people.
- Near-copies of a page written only to match a different search phrase.
Where a platform’s terms bar tools like ours, we say so and quote them. McGraw Hill’s Terms of Use, for example, bar bots, agents and third-party extensions on its service, and our McGraw Hill Connect page quotes them. Your school’s academic-integrity policy and each platform’s terms apply to any use of Silent Student (Terms, section 5).
How do I report a mistake on a page?
Email support@silentstudent.com, or call or text (307) 228-0145. Please include:
- the address of the page;
- the sentence or number you think is wrong;
- a link to a source that says otherwise, if you have one.
We check the report against the source. If the page is wrong, we fix it and change its Updated date. If the fix changes a price, a number or what the page suggests, the page says what changed and when. Companies and platforms we write about can use the same address.

Questions about this policy
Is this site independent?
No. It is the product site of El Dorado Ignition LLC, the company that makes Silent Student. Read every page, comparisons included, with that in mind.
Why don’t the pages have an author’s name?
Pages are published under the company’s name, and we don’t attach invented names to them. If a page names a person, it will be a real person who agreed to be named.
Is the Silent Student benchmark independent?
No. The company built the seven homework replicas and ran the test on the Base plan’s vision engine. The replicas are not the real sites, and nobody outside the company has tested Silent Student yet. The benchmark page shows the method, the results and screen recordings.
