Silent Student runs on iPad through the web app at app.silentstudent.com. Open it in Safari, tell the agent which assignment to do, and watch it work in a live browser next to the chat. There is nothing to get from the App Store.

From Safari to your first assignment.
Pick a plan
Join with the $4.99 Week pass or a monthly plan. You make your Silent Student account on the same page.
Open it in Safari
Go to app.silentstudent.com and sign in with your Silent Student email and password. To keep it one tap away, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
Name the assignment
Type something like “Finish my Chapter 6 MindTap homework”. The agent opens your school site in its own browser, and you see it on your iPad.
Sign in to your school once
When it reaches your school’s login page, tap Take control, sign in yourself, then tap Give back to agent. Your login is saved for next time.
Hold it sideways to see both.
The web app changes its layout to fit how you hold the iPad.

Tap Keyboard to type
While you have control, tap Keyboard under the live browser. The iPad keyboard opens and what you type goes into the page. Tap Done when you finish.
It asks when it needs you
If it reaches a login page, a two-step code or a check it can’t pass, a line appears across the top of the browser with a Take control button.
Your login stays saved
After you sign in once, the login is stored encrypted on our servers so the agent can sign in for you next time. You can ask us to erase it any time (security page).
School iPads may block it
An iPad your school manages may block app.silentstudent.com. If it won’t open, use your own iPad or another device you own.

No. The agent’s browser runs on our servers, so your iPad is all you need. If you also have a Mac or PC, the same account and plan work in the desktop app.
Maybe not. Schools can block sites on the iPads they manage. If app.silentstudent.com won’t open, use a personal iPad or another device you own.

For now the web app signs in with an email and password. Set a password at silentstudent.com/reset with the same email, then sign in on your iPad.
