When IXL marks an answer wrong it shows an explanation and lowers the SmartScore. The agent reads that feedback and moves on; it cannot undo a SmartScore drop.
The agent has built-in handling for the common web math editors (MathQuill and MathLive) and types plain numeric and word answers directly.
Many schools link IXL skills into Canvas modules or assignments. The agent follows that same link, signed in the way your school signs you in.
Typing an answer is not the same as the platform accepting it. After each entry the agent re-reads the live page, so an answer that did not take is caught and retried instead of counted.
A run that turned the work in and saw the platform's confirmation says so. A run that saved some answers and then got stuck is reported as partial, with the remaining part named, never as done.
Open the Silent Student desktop app, find the IXL assignment in your Canvas course list, and queue it like any other.
The app follows the skill's link out of Canvas and lands on IXL. It does not ask for or type your password. If your school signs you in through Clever or ClassLink, the app supports that sign-in for Canvas.
The vision agent reads the question from a screenshot and the page's controls, enters an answer, submits it, and reads IXL's response before the next question.
It uses the platform's own submit or completion control and marks the run confirmed only when the platform shows it. If it had to stop early, the log says which part is still yours.
IXL rewards mastery, and some of it only works if it reflects you. Here is where the agent stops.
IXL runs on the general vision agent, not a solver written for its interface, and we have not yet published a recorded run on it. Expect it to be less predictable than our dedicated platforms, and check the run log for what it did.
The diagnostic sets the level of the skills IXL recommends to you. The agent does not recognise a diagnostic, so don't queue one; an inflated result gives you work you are not ready for.
IXL lowers the SmartScore for wrong answers. The agent does not guarantee reaching 100 or any target score; the score IXL shows is the result.
Tests that run inside a lockdown browser or a proctoring tool need software the agent's browser does not run, so they do not open for it. Don't queue a proctored test; take it yourself.
Not guaranteed. It answers question by question and IXL scores each one. Wrong answers lower the SmartScore, and the score IXL shows at the end is the result.
IXL records how long you practised, when, and how many questions you answered right and wrong, and your teacher can see it. Silent Student does not hide, disguise or fake any of that. It runs in a normal browser on your computer, signed in as you, and whether using it is allowed is decided by your class or school policy.
Don't queue it. The diagnostic decides which skills IXL recommends to you, and the agent does not recognise one. Take it yourself.
