SnapGPT is a Chrome and Firefox extension, with a web app and an iOS beta. You take a screenshot of a question and it shows the answer with an explanation. Paid plans add an “Autopilot” mode that works through the questions on a page and “SmartScan” for free-response questions. It lists Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Google Classroom, McGraw Hill Connect, ALEKS, Pearson MyLab and others.
The free plan gives 5 screenshot answers a day. Plus is $7.49 a month billed annually ($89.99 a year). Its homepage doesn’t publish an accuracy figure.
Silent Student is a desktop app for Mac and Windows. You connect your Canvas account once; your login stays on your computer, encrypted by macOS Keychain or Windows. The app runs its own browser, syncs your courses and works each assignment in due-date order: Canvas quizzes, essays, discussions and file uploads, plus the homework platforms your courses open, like WebAssign, MindTap, McGraw Hill Connect, Pearson MyLab and Macmillan Achieve. It fills in the answers and submits, and you can hold drafts for review first. It doesn’t take proctored exams. Plans are $11.99, $24.99 and $49.99 a month, with no free tier.
